Unpacking Life's Challenges Together.
I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. Counselling can be a safe place to let your feelings out and share what’s on your mind. It can be a relief to talk about something that has been upsetting you with someone who understands and really listens without judgement.
I work with a wide range of mental health challenges such as, depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, addiction, sexuality. With difficult life events; childbirth, pregnancy loss, pregnancy choices and infertility, loss, bereavement, trauma, work issues, and relationship problems, to name a few.
Together we can explore your feelings, beliefs, and behaviours, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of your life that you would like to change, help you to better understand yourself and to set personal goals.
There are many reasons why people seek counselling. Everyone is different with their own unique circumstances and problems.
You may be aware of self-destructive patterns causing you, or those around you, pain. Extreme feelings such as anger, shame, guilt, sadness or loneliness may be affecting your daily life, keeping you stuck in an uncomfortable place. Together we can work to navigate those feelings.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you. My focus is on you, I care deeply about the relationship we establish together and believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to the success of your experience.
We’ll start where you are, talk about what’s been happening in your life and how that’s affecting you and your relationships. Together we’ll explore your feelings, beliefs and behaviours to gain a greater understanding of you and your relationships to those around you.
We may look at your family of origin, your childhood, belief systems, cultural influences, and significant events that have occurred in your life.
I believe in the whole person; mind, body, feelings, sexuality and spirit. Working with you to explore all the issues you bring to counselling, with no limits on what can be discussed.
My primary aim is to create an environment that is inclusive, confidential, safe and non-judgemental to support you to better understand yourself, and work toward desired change.
My practice is located in central Norwich.
Sessions are one-to-one, in person, or online by mutual agreement.
I see clients once a week, for sessions of fifty minutes.
Usually, we’ll have a regular slot, at the same time each week. I will hold that time open for you until we both agree that our work is finished.
